Rural Children and Farm Animals Come to the Capitol in Opposition to State Fair Bill - Wed. 1 PM
DENVER - Parents and 4-H/FFA children will travel to Denver from all corners of the state to oppose the State Fair Board of Commissioners' "premises registration" rule-making regarding livestock project animals at the 2008 Colorado State Fair. “Premises registration" does not provide improved food safety or the "48-hour disease traceback" that the U.S.D.A. and its various grant recipients have been touting. Many view "premises registration" as a property rights issue.
